The log file does get created in the same dir as the setup. even if I unisntall it on origianl machine and try on it, I get teh same issue I copy the iss file to another machine and perform the silent installation on the new machine uning setup.exe -s -f1c:\eviews\install\setup.iss but does not install. I have run setup.exe -r -f1c:\eviews\install\setup.issĮntered the installation information and completed installation, this did create the ISS file Setup.log is created in the same directory as setup.
If a restart is needed after the completion of the installation, the machine will be automatically restarted. The installation may appear to start, but then will then fail silently. I have searched teh forums and there is not much information on this. When running an InstallShield application silently with the following command: setup.exe /S /v/qn.
that means The installation exited because the end user canceled the installation, but i never selected any option. the response file is in the same folder as the setup. I am trying to setup a silent installation for the 10 users at our company and have run into some difficulties. TestComplete silent install return ResultCode-3 with InstallShield.
